When the Congress was elected in Karnataka 2.5 years ago, I was somewhat happy. Then, Siddaramaiah said, give me 6 months, I will ensure Bengaluru roads will be fixed up. Now, 2.5 years later, he's assigned a minister for development of Bengaluru, KJ George, who says, give me 6 months, I will ensure Bengaluru roads will be fixed up. Doesn't surprise me at all.
Why are we so tolerant towards this indifferent government? The base definition of terrorism is "the unofficial or unauthorized use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims". I think this government has become so engulfed in politics and personal agendas, that the way it's treating its citizens is another form of terrorism. Official and authorised use of nonviolence and indifference in the pursuit of political aim.
People are frustrated, losing their health, spending unnecessary time in traffic due to horrible roads, people are getting hurt every day, people are dying in accidents now, because there's more craters on Bengaluru roads than on the moon.
Time to speak up. Time to raise the pitch. Time to become #intolerant.
